Its Been Awhile...

Goodness I didn't realize how long it has been since I updated the blog! Things around the Krieger household have been fairly uneventful lately, which has been gladly welcomed. Here are a couple things that have happened since my last post.

  •  We ordered the new doors for the main floor of the house and all the trim/crown molding as well. I am super excited we are almost done! It has been a long time coming but I am glad we have taken our time and saved our money. I have learned that my house doesn't need to be filled with 'things' and look 'perfect' to enjoy life or feel fulfilled. I honestly could careless if all my walls have pictures on them or if I have the right storage cabinet or table to sit at. It is the memories and people I get to be with that truly matter to me.
  • Earlier this week Penelope was acting lethargic, sleeping more than normal and not playing. Yesterday I was in the living room and heard her making noise in the kitchen. I walked in and found she had puked. First of all I felt SO bad for my little kitten. She has never been sick and I was scared something was really wrong....so I immediately called Josh. Second she puked on a mat we have next to her litter box, for this I was thankful (such a smart kitty) I could just take it out to the garage to deal with later. She then sat with me on the recliner and slept for an hour...she never willingly does this. I didn't realize how much I truly love out sweet kitten until yesterday. FYI she is back to her normal curious, playful self today!
Today I while I was reading the below passage I was overwhelmed at how loving our God is. Not only did He send His only son to die for our sins but NOTHING can separate us from that love! How cool and awesome is that?!?

 Romans 8:31-39

31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[o]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[p] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week....
